The band weave jazz and groove influences to create an inclusive, inspiring energy which is perfect for Dalston Curve Garden, with support from S.A.A.R.A
MAMA SUTRA
Mama Sutra explores the musical landscape between Jazz, deep groove and dance music; weaving between these they create a special, inclusive energy with a cerebral approach appealing to a wide range of listeners.
With influences ranging from house music all the way to Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, Miles Davis through to Brazilian music, theirs is a blend of styles which is brought together beautifully through the vocals of Sheena Ross - as they promise 'prepare for your ears to be eclectified.'
With shows under their belt including Jazz Refreshed, Troy Bar, Effra Tavern music hall and Brixton Village, they are looking forward to reaching new audiences in Summer 2022 with performances at Ronnie Scotts, Kite Festival, Wilderness Festival, HowTheLightGetsIn Festival and even a trip to the Czech Republic.
On the night expect a special acoustic performance with emphasis on musicianship and listening rather than a full-blown party set.

S.A.A.R.A
Described as “orchestral funk” (Ollie Winiberg, BBC Introducing, Essex) S.A.A.R.A weaves hypnotic bass lines around big beats, synth hooks, and woodwind riffs before floating her distinctive vocals through the mix. For their debut at Dalston Curve Gardens, they will be performing an exclusive acoustic set.
