Live African dance music, fusing Congolese guitar and Gambian kora virtuosity with UK electronic sensibilities to create uplifting, dancefloor- friendly new music for a new generation of music fans. Afriquoi's masterful 5-piece live show combines Gambian kora, Congolese guitar and Mandinka percussion styles with electronic music drawing on house, garage, disco, soul and jungle to create something entirely unique.

Based in London but originating from Africa, the Carribean and the UK, Afrquoi's members range in age across 3 decades, creating fusion music in the best sense of the word, bringing together a vast depth of musical knowledge, culture and life experience.

They have established a cult gobal fanbase, loved by fans both of African and electronic music. Their afro house classic ‘Kudaushe’ has become an established favourite in clubs all over the world, and they have toured all over Europe, with huge crowds singing along to their songs on major stages at Glastonbury, WOMAD, Dimensions, Fusion, Boomtown, Shambala, Bestival, Secret Garden Party and the London 2012 Olympics.

Inês Loubet

Inês Loubet is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist that writes danceable songs that seamlessly blend improvisation and jazz harmony with captivating melodies and powerful lyrics. Loubet's musical journey has been marked by notable performances at prestigious venues and festivals.

From gracing the stage at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall to a sold-out Tropicalia show at The Jazz Café, supporting Brazilian legend Gilberto Gil at the O2 Shepherds Bush, and sharing the spotlight with João Bosco & Hamilton de Holanda at The Union Chapel in 2018, as well as a sold-out show at Spice of Life in Soho, Loubet's talent has garnered widespread recognition.

Her projects have received acclaim from influential figures such as Gilles Peterson and Mr Bongo, earning her several UK and international tours and radio appearances on platforms like Jazz Fm, NTS, Soho Radio, and BBC Radio 3. In 2022, Loubet received the Drake Yolanda Award, and her dedication to her craft has been further supported by Arts Council funding for her 12-date UK SENGA Tour and Help Musicians UK.

Loubet's creative journey culminates in her debut album, "SENGA," set to release in May 2024 under the Alberts Favourites south-london label. In 2024 Ines has been invited to perform at Bricklane Jazz Festival, Tropical Pressure Festival, Jazz Stroud Festival and EFG London Jazz Festival.
