Michael Sebastian: 'Move' EP Launch Party + Simran

  • The Jago 440 Kingsland Road London, England, E8 4AA United Kingdom (map)

Michael Sebastian creates Live Dance Music, with has the structure of electronic; the freedom of jazz, and the depth of world.

A South African in London, Sebastian has a strong presence in the city with recent headline shows at EartH Hackney & Colour Factory, support slots for James Blake and Four Tet at Alexandra Palace, as well as being named a top 5 global Sofar artist.

Fuelled by the relationship between music and dance, he finds himself at the intersection between club, contemporary and conscious dance spaces. In his live shows he merges contemporary discipline with transcendental spirituality through jazz improvisation and play, often involving talented collaborators.

His objective is to create spaces of collective ecstasy, inspired by his own time on the dancefloor.

“an improvisatory joy, a muscular blast of indie-electronics worth filing alongside Bonobo or Bicep” - Clash

SIMRAN

Simran is a multidimensional artist and seer who deeply feels and resonates with the expression of truth. Her work is a tapestry woven together from the diverse wealth she has cultivated throughout her years of exploring various crafts and training in different practises. These roles include working as a Shamanic practitioner and healer, as well as her facilitation of spaces for young people at The National Youth Theatre and many other establishments. Additionally, her experience as a professional performer adds strings to this mosaic-al bow. She honours her body as a vessel for healing and embraces the channels of her Souls Song to share with this New Earth. Simran sings in ancient remembrance that no good thing shall be withheld, reminding us of the light that lives in each and every one of us.
