Three of London's most exciting Amapiano DJs join forces in a late-night party: Mixolis, Rosey Gold and OneThabs

Mixolis

Mixolis is a London based Award winning DJ who specializes in Amapiano, Afrotech & Soulful house. Born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe his roots sparked his desire to spread the Southern African sound across the UK and from a young age Mixolis became a pioneer within the scene.

With a career spanning over 10 years, Mixolis is a trusted and respected DJ who has played in venues across Europe, Africa and North America such as Ministry of Sound, Boiler Room, Koko Electronic, Djoon Paris, Egg London, E1, Nightales,The Mill Birmingham, El Faro Tenerife, Brixton Jamm, Odonien Cologne, ATL Club Toronto and Orange yard, Headline stage at the world’s biggest Amapiano Festival AMAFEST to name a few.

Mixolis prides himself in his ability to take his audience on a journey by infusing and experimenting with various techniques. From the beginning through to the end his sets are distinctive and captivating which has made him a sort after name in the UK. With guest mixes/appearances on major platforms such as the BBC, 2022 has been a very successful year, culminating in winning the Global African Awards DJ of the Year.

2023 has started off as busy as the previous Year, Mixolis has stepped into the Producer/Artist world with two songs released in May on all digital platforms. This year is set to be an even bigger year for Mixolis as he continues to champion the sound.

Rosey Gold

Rosey Gold is a London based, South African international Amapiano DJ, Radio personality and Presenter. She is known for her authentic blends of Amapiano and House music from the Southern African diaspora.

Growing up within the struggles of the South African apartheid, her roots sparked her desire to spread the Southern African sound across the globe.

Rosey Gold has blossomed within an incredibly short space of time. She has performed all over the world and is continuing to grow with each performance.

OneThabs

OneThabs, Bulawayo born, East London resident, Piano Love DJ and Groove connoisseur. Took a rather complex journey into the world of DJing. During the first pandemic when the world was locked dons and silent, is when he experimented into the DJing foray. It’s during the night time when he would play on Insta Live that friends and strangers encouraged him to push on and having always been interested in music and nightlife, this was the perfect time to practice away from the noise and pressure in a world locked away.

You’ll find him playing a soulful set of Amapiano, heavily influenced in vocals and singalongs that transport you away from the dancefloor into a trance of self enjoyment. His love for house music is where you’ll experience a mixture of deep, Afrohouse and Afrotech sounds influenced by the sounds of Black Coffee and Black Motion that’ll keep you stomping through the dancefloor and night away.

With just over two years under his belt of fully committing to this journey of music, OneThabs has been a resident DJ for Amapiano Funhouse, an event introduced during one of the many pandemic relaxations of era. During the summer period, OneThabs has graced the hottest Amapiano events such as RedRoom in Peckham Audio with an electric set that left revellers in awe. Another highlight of the summer was an amazing B2B with his mentor Golden Lady with a set at No Signal’s Diaspora Dance where the two blew the decks with a hi tempo, nostalgic and new Afrohouse and AfroTech performance.
