Unusual instrumental forces create a sublime fusion that combines pastoral dreaminess with the heat of reggae, highlife and Afrobeat, with support from Valeria Pozzo.
The band is celebrating 10 years of evolving their afro-infused grooves soaked in glorious folk harmonies. It’s soulful, poignant music with a beat, subtly incorporating vintage highlife and afrobeat grooves into elegant folk songwriting.
The UK-based quintet creates a timeless sound with a global outlook, performed with infectious energy, and the result is instantly recognizable, highly original and truly genre-defying.
The elegant voice and West African finger-picking guitar style of songwriter Nick Rasle is cradled by stunning vocal harmonies and the evocative combination of cello and clarinet, all underpinned by a rhythm section with a deep sense of groove. This is sun-drenched, euphoric music for both brain and booty.

Their whirlwind live show has been a headlining favourite of venues and festivals across Europe, gaining a multitude of discerning fans at home and abroad.
“An amazing live show!” Will Holland (Quantic).
VALERIA POZZO
Singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Valeria Pozzo began playing violin at a very young age. After spending many years developing as a classical musician in her native Italy, Valeria left Venice and moved to London to pursue music full time. Inspired by the energy and pulse of London, Valeria began writing her own music and developing her voice as a singer-songwriter.
Over the years, Valeria’s boundless musical curiosity led her to perform with artists spanning a spectrum of styles such as Jazz Jamaica All Stars, ESKA, Sam Ryder, Neil Cowley, Antonio Forcione, Robert Mitchell, Rhys Lewis and the NU Civilisation Orchestra.
Valeria has performed at some of the most prestigious halls and venues in Italy and the UK and has sung at world renowned Abbey Road Studio, where she recorded a cover of George Harrison’s ‘Here Comes The Sun’ for Peroni's Nastro Azzurro campaign.
Valeria’s classical background along with her extensive collaborations with these artists seem to perfectly collide and synthesise in her own work. Valeria’s music is not easily pinned down, but rather hovers around pop/folk, indie and jazz. Much of Valeria’s writing is directly inspired by her own personal experience, with themes of family, relationships, and distance explored with a deft touch and a heartrending wisdom.
In 2020 Valeria released her debut single 'My Heart', written, recorded and produced by her at home during lockdown.
Valeria is currently working on her forthcoming EP.
