7 - 8pm: AMBIENT SOUNDSCAPES WITH MICHAEL MENDONES

Michael Mendones will open the space with live generated ambient soundscapes as you arrive and settle in.

Soothing and minimal music has been found to reduced stress and anxiety while improving performance, focus and brain function by helping to control the fight-or-flight response, and you relax into the garden and set your intentions.

8 - 845pm: BREATHWORK SESSION WITH STUART GEDDES

Stuart will guide you through a breathwork session to connect you back to self, in preparation for the final part of the evening. Breathwork has been found to reduce stress, create feelings of openness, love, peace, gratitude, clarity, communication, and connection. It can also help release trauma or mental, physical, and emotional blocks, as well as anxiety, depression, fear, grief, and anger.

Breathwork comprises a group of exercises that teach you to manipulate your breathing rate and depth with the goal of bringing awareness to your breath and ultimately providing the same benefits you might get from a meditative practice. Most formal practices involve 20 minutes to an hour of sustained, rhythmic breathing techniques.

9-10pm: GONG BATH WITH THE ROUNDWOOD TEAM

Bambi, Michael, Rachel, Aaron will take you on a sound journey with gongs, crystal bowls, flute, voice and various other traditional instruments to take you into a deep state of meditation known as theta. This is the state between being asleep and awake, where the body is can be put back into alignment with the pure vibrations of the sounds created in the sound immersion.

You will be invited to lie or sit down and get comfortable with a blanket during the sound journey (wearing an eye mask can also help you fully immerse in the experience).

There will be aromatherapy sprays used during the sessions to heighten the sense of calm and relaxation. As the the sound journey concludes, you will be gently guided back into a grounded state, and have time to connect and share with friends before re-entering London.

Gong Baths can be contra-indicated with first-stage pregnancy and psychosis - please check with your GP before attending.

Roundwood’s agenda is to inspire, empower and educate individuals through the power of sound. We believe in the intelligent power of sound and its ability to improve our lives. Our mission is to provide education, wellbeing and mindfulness within music, and part of this is by producing both live sound-healing events, and sound meditation sample packs so that everyone is able to construct their own sound journeys. Each purchase of a sample pack plants a tree.

Bambi from Aum healing is an intuitive sound healer. With a lifelong passion for music and singing, she turned her hand to the world of sound healing as a natural progression. With the use of Gongs, crystal bowls, flute, voice and various other instruments, you will be taken into a deep state of meditation known as theta. The state between being asleep and awake, where the body is able to heal itself at its highest level. The cells of the body are put back into alignment with the pure vibrations of the sounds created in the sound immersion.

STUART GEDDES

Stuart's background in music and artistic performance is a strong foundation in his breathwork, along with a natural ability to hold space for others. As a breathwork teacher, his emphasis is on connecting and facilitating an understanding of what it takes to self-regulate. Central to his teaching is the belief that we are able to find ourselves through movement, breath and music; through this we connect back to self. From here, we are able to work through our self-imposed limitations and narratives, equip ourselves to move through adversity and find freedom from anxiety.
