ELECTRIC JALABA

A deep psychedelic, groove-heavy meeting between Moroccan Gnawa master Simo Lagnawi, Italian/English drummer Dave De Rose and four musical brothers; Henry, Oliver, Nathaniel and Barnaby Keen from Dorset. Traditional songs about colourful spirits, mysterious women, men that divide oceans and armies of conquerors weave themselves among enormous infectious grooves, analogue effects and warped guitars.

Electric Jalaba emerged in 2010 with their self-released debut album: 'Introducing Electric Jalaba', also quickly establishing themselves as one of London's go-to live dance acts. 10 years as a fixture on the UK and European festival circuit, with another album in 2015, they are still going strong.

Now signed to legendary Afro/Jazz label Strut records with a new album coming soon, this gig will be a celebration of the first single 'Cubaili Ba', which will be released on 23rd October.

CAMILO MENJURA: “LOOP EXPLORATIONS AND LATIN FOLK”

Award winning and versatile musician Camilo Menjura will be performing some of his Loop Explorations -creations rooted in Latin American folk & Circle Singing-, as well as some original and traditional material accompanied with his virtuoso Guitar playing.

This event will take place in Costa Del Tottenham's outdoor, covered, heated terrace. Drinks will be brought by table-service and you are kindly requested to stay in your seats at all times.
