JOHN BLOOD & THE HIGHLYS
John Blood & The Highlys is a Reggae band from North and East London that has grown together since 2010. The band has been cultivating its sound, led by John, from a vibration that aims to show the world a positive reality through music. The band’s members as well as its major musical influences come from Africa, the Caribbean, Europe and the UK, but it’s our love for the word, sound and power of Reggae music that has brought us together, to continue its legacy of bringing consciousness and joy to the world.
The band's name comes from wanting to show that we are all a John or a Jane Doe and therefore all human and all equal, that we all share the same Blood and that we are Highly blessed to have life, love and music, all of which we are most grateful for.
