RUMBA DE BODAS
Rumba de Bodas blend together Latin grooves, Balkan, Swing, Ska and Reggae to create a party experience that has rocked stages and crowds all over Europe.
Originally from Bologna, their combine their love of brass, upbeat music, global folk with half a kilo of chili powder to lift your feet to the max, with South American rhythms, Middle Eastern melodies and Carnival vibes.
The band has toured Europe extensively, including France, Spain, Romania, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark and the UK, where Rumba de Bodas have rocked Hootananny, Passing Clouds and Jamboree in London, Hare and Hounds in Birmingham and the Bristol Canteen, as well as gigs in Secret Garden Party, Wilderness Festival, Audiosoup Festival, Edimburgh Jazz festival, Ealing Jazz festival, Boomtown Festival and many other venues. Their first album “Just married” was released in 2012 and their second, “Karnaval Fou” in 2014.
We have put on Rumba de Bodas on the Woodburner stage at Secret Garden Party, and Dalston Eastern Curve Garden, and we can't wait to get them back for more!
DAS BRASS
Das Brass are a ten-piece brass band formed in 2014. Playing a mixed repertoire from pop classics to brass heavy New Orleans numbers, with a few originals thrown in for good measure, they have gone from strength to strength having played and busked all over London and beyond. Everyone knows the damage that a huge brass band can inflict on a party, and we can't wait for some badass honkiness from Das Brass at Styx.
DJ JEAN-PHILIPPE RAMEAU
Jean-Philippe Rameau's identity is clouded in mystery. This sometime house producer has rocked on Japanese airwaves, produced tropical bangers, composed classical opera, jammed out on keys till the early hours with his trad-jazz mates, and once rocked parties with his own irresistible party outfit Death Ray Trebuchay. In short, the man knows a thing or two about good music, and he's ready to share...
