We have a very exciting new date for your diaries. On 17th February we are proud to host a very special album launch. BARD are launching their debut album The Springtime Fool at Vault Festival, part of the Old Vic Tunnels. Joining them on the bill will be Kidnap Alice and Cocos Lovers; come dance the night away beneath Waterloo station!

Thanks to everyone who came down on Monday, it was a cracking night! We had a special lastminute appearance from Dan Kahn with his brilliant yiddish folk songs, reminiscent of Gogol Bordello; Ali Caplin sung us a classic Woodburner set of folk tunes with his fiddle; Voice wowed us with their vocal harmonies before Whiskey Moon Face sent us into orbit with a set that oozed bohemian hedonism.
Be sure to come this Monday for the raucous City Shanty Band, 10 drunken city bankers bawling their guts out. We’ve also got Goodbye Leopold with their silky dance skills, and a very special guest who you’ll have to come along to witness.
No Woodburner at the moment, we’re combing the British Isles and beyond to bring you the best season ever, which will begin in October. Watch this space and join the email list to be sure you don’t miss out.
Woodburner is a community folk club in Hackney. We put on amazing music by the fireside in a beautiful venue on Mondays. We have also had some lovely dance, poetry and storytelling performances as part of our evenings. Almost all of the performers play unamplified and acoustic.
